You get out what you put in
Hello again. I’ve just enrolled in John Thornhill’s Partnership to Success program. I have completed the first week and am now blogging about it. Without giving too much away about the program, I want to discuss something that shocked as well as surprised me.
John advised to check out other people’s blogs so that I could get a feel for the sort of information a good blog has. So, I set about looking at the blogs of the following people: Jim Cockrum, Paula Brett, Dave Nicholson, Dan Thompson, Skip Mcgrath and Omar Martin. I was amazed at how professional these blogs were and how honest they were. Talk about give it to you straight! If you don’t want to be told what the ‘reality’ of internet marketing is all about then these blogs are not for you. If you want to live a pipe dream then there is plenty of shonky operators out there just willing to sell it to you. They aren’t too hard to find. They will tell you you can make millions and retire on a few clicks a day. What rubbish!
Now, getting to what shocked and surprised me. I took a look at some blogs from some other ’internet marketers.’ In some cases I found that the website no longer existed or there hadn’t been a post for at least 6 months! Now, how are you supposed to run an online business if no-one knows where you are or even if you are still in business? It’s beyond me.
Getting back to the program, due to the time difference between Eastern Australia and the UK, I have to do a lot of phone calls, webinars etc in the dark of night. Will this stop me from being successful? No. If this is what I have to do to succeed on line then so be it. Will I get tired? Yes. Will I have to put in the hard yards when everyone else is asleep? Yes. Does this mean I have to be organised so I can achieve my desired results? Yes. Is there any excuse that will stop me from succeeding? No.
As my father always says, “You get out what you put in.”
Until next time …
Craig

Hey Craig,
I have to say I absolutely LOVED your mindset!
I wonder why many people stall even after the first or second week of their training…
Is it the lack of support, the technical aspect, no time, no commitment?
I don’t know, is beyond my reasoning too but I can assure you that those few that never quit, are the ones that end up just like the marketers you mentioned.
Hope to see more posts from you and make it HAPPEN!
Stay in touch and have a great day sir!
Sergio
Hi Sergio,
I’m not sure exactly why people stall. If I could work that out I could make a product to make sure it doesn’t happen! (lol). In some cases I think it is lack of support but then again some people are a bit proud to ask for help. I know I can fit into this category sometimes. Taking action is the big message I am hearing from the successful marketers. But I do think this is not enough by itself. Being CONSISTENT in taking action is probably the real message that is being sent. Do something consistently to get results. And never quit and NEVER give up. Thomas Edison once said “I have not failed. I have just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
Thanks for your post.
Craig
